Complaints to the Disciplinary Council

When the Syndic decides to file a complaint with the Disciplinary Council, he presents the evidence. It is important to realize that the individual who requested the inquiry is usually called upon to testify.

The Disciplinary Council

The Disciplinary Council is responsible for hearing complaints against dentists submitted by the Syndic, the Assistant Syndic or by any other individual.

An individual may also file a complaint directly with the Disciplinary Council, without going through the Syndic. In that case, the complainant is responsible for preparing the file and presenting the evidence to the Disciplinary Council. He or she must submit the complaint to the Secretary of the Disciplinary Council and pay any expenses. The complainant may be assisted by legal counsel.
