The 2015 Journées dentaires internationales du Québec (JDIQ) are now over. After three days of pre-Convention activities, two days of Convention events with a trade fair and 100 sessions representing over 418 continuing education hours, we can say that it was a real success. In addition, the 12,534 registrations were the highest for the JDIQ in the past ten years.
I would like to thank everyone who contributed in any way to this success. First of all, you, the dentists and dental clinic staff, whose constant support encourages us to always excel.
My thanks also go to all the representatives of the dental industry, who attend every year to keep us abreast of the latest innovations in the field. The number of exhibitors was up this year, in fact, with 200 more registered, an indication of their interest in our convention.
I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the speakers, who make such a great effort to present the latest developments and advances in dental science.
Lastly, a very special thanks to the members of the Organizing Committee and the permanent JDIQ staff, people who are totally committed to the JDIQ and for whom the concept of service means much more than just being on hand.
The Ordre des dentistes du Québec, through the JDIQ, is proud to hold North America’s largest bilingual dental convention.
I look forward to seeing you at next year’s edition, from May 27 to 31, 2016.

USE BY THE JDIQ
The Journées dentaires internationales du Québec (JDIQ) are committed to protecting participants’ personal information (name, mailing address, e-mail address and telephone number). The JDIQ use this information only for purposes of organizing and following up on the event, and only in accordance with participants’ express consent when they register.
COMMUNICATION TO THIRD PARTIES
N.B. Because of the adoption of Canadian anti-spam legislation on July 1, 2014, the JDIQ will not share participants’ e-mail addresses with any third parties. It will be up to each participant to expressly consent to having his or her e-mail address shared with selected speakers, exhibitors or sponsors.
A participant’s personal information, including name, mailing address and telephone number, and whether or not he or she attends any of the activities organized under the auspices of the JDIQ, will be disclosed only with the participant’s consent.
Participants will have the opportunity to consent to such disclosure by presenting their electronic registration badge for reading and validation, i.e.:
1. for Continuing Dental Education (CDE) units, to a JDIQ employee. Participants thereby consent to having their attendance, as it is recorded at that point, communicated by the JDIQ following the convention to the Ordre des dentistes du Québec, for purposes of allocating CDE units to their files;
2. for purposes of follow-up or commercial or philanthropic prospecting, to a speaker, exhibitor or sponsor. Participants thereby consent to having their names, telephone numbers and addresses communicated to the specific speaker, exhibitor or sponsor. The JDIQ agree to require of their speakers, exhibitors and sponsors that the personal information communicated to them will be used only by them and only for follow-up or commercial or philanthropic prospecting purposes.
It is agreed that the JDIQ assume no liability when delegates give their personal information, including their e-mail addresses, to parties other than the JDIQ.
