Equivalence Without NDEB

Candidates who graduated outside Quebec and who do not hold a certificate from the National Dental Examining Board (NDEB) and have graduated from a dental school that is not accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada must contact the NDEB directly. The NDEB has been administering the equivalence process for the ODQ since January 2011.

Candidates who began the equivalence process with the ODQ before 2011 are considered active candidates and, depending on circumstances, may receive special consideration when they continue their certification with the NDEB.

Once they have completed this process, they may register for the examination of the Ordre des dentistes du Québec.
