Mission of the Fondation de l'Ordre des dentistes du Québec

The Fondation de l'Ordre des dentistes du Québec was created to provide ways for the organization to demonstrate its commitment to the community by carrying out activities aimed at prevention and bringing dentists and patients closer together outside of the dentist's office. The Ordre des dentistes du Québec is one of the only professional orders to have a foundation.

After receiving legal status as a registered charity on April 1, 1996, the Foundation adopted a separate organizational structure to better fulfill its mission, which is to:

• Promote the benefits of good oral health among the people of Québec.
• Teach the public about preventing dental disease.
• Support research projects on oral health.
• Promote the scope and advancement of dentistry by awarding scholarships.
