The Fondation de l'Ordre des dentistes du Québec joined forces with the Réseau de recherche en santé buccodentaire du Québec and the Fonds de recherche en santé du Québec in 1999 to launch a research and scholarship fund.
Research grants
Anyone wishing to submit an application should consult the www.rsbo.ca website, for general information on research grants, eligibility criteria, documents to be submitted and procedures.
Research grants are awarded to researchers and clinical researchers concerned with oral health issues, especially those related to public health and clinical research. An outside committee evaluates the scientific value of each project submitted.
In 2012-2013, three $8,000 research grants were awarded to:
- Dr. Elham Emami, Université de Montréal
- Dr. Fatiha Chandad, Université Laval
- Dr. Faleh Tamimi Mariño, McGill University
Scholarships

Scholarships are offered to students associated with the Network for Oral and Bone Health Research. A scientific committee evaluates and selects the recipients of the awards of excellence of the Foundation of the Ordre des dentistes du Québec.
This year, three $5,000 scholarships were awarded to:
- Mr. Seung Hwan Lee, McGill University
- Mrs. Martine Lévesque, McGill University
- Dr. Akanksha Srivastava, McGill University
The Foundation is particularly proud to support research in oral health and encourage interest in dentistry and the advancement of knowledge in the field.
